Gillette Castle resides on the border of East Haddam and Lyme, Connecticut. This historic monument and park can be visited for only six dollars per adult ticket. This historic castle built in 1914 was the creation of William Hooker Gillette. When the property was purchased by the state in 1943 the state opened up hiking trails and the castle to the general public. Take a day trip to admire this beautiful piece of history and enjoy some of the most breathtaking views you can get in the state!
